Pool Safety Check List
This checklist provides a simple guide to some of the aspects of pool safety prior to your official inspection, and is to be used only as a guide.
Pool safety is paramount to preventing accidents. Always ensure there is a responsible adult supervising whilst there are children in and around the pool.

All pools (and spas) in Queensland must be fenced and registered on the pool safety register.
If your pool isn’t registered you can be fined up to $2,611. If you fail to rectify a non-compliant pool, local governments can issue on the spot fines of $934 for individuals and up to $2269 for companies.
Owners also need to be aware that any person who props open a pool gate can be liable for an on the spot fine of over $450.
